Sometimes people enjoy wildlife and wish they could relate to the wild creatures as pets. I am here to say THAT is NOT a good idea for the animal or for your home and family.
The Ivory-Billed Woodpecker is a critically endangered species that might even be extinct. DEFINATELY not pet material. But at the bottom of the page there is an interesting story about an early colonial naturalist and his interactions with an Ivory Billed Woodpecker. Worth a look. And a smile.
